Daryush Shokof,
born on June 25, 1954, in Tehran as Alireza Shokoufandeh, is an Iranian artist, filmmaker, philosopher, and writer based in Germany.
In 1979, he emigrated to the United States, where he studied physics and mathematics.
He later earned an MBA from the University of Dallas.
Shokof held his first art exhibition in 1981 at the Gorky Gallery in New York.
He is known for his innovative and experimental works that challenge traditional boundaries. As a filmmaker, he made his directorial debut in 1996 with "Seven Servants," featuring Anthony Quinn in one of his final roles.
