Fruity fresh apple and pear puree recipe

A delicious recipe for homemade apple and pear puree without cooking and prepared with the Anckeramic grater and Anckeramic citrus press

Apple and pear puree is a tasty, multi-faceted and healthy fruit puree that does not require the fruit to be cooked and is therefore prepared in the shortest possible time. You can enjoy it as a dessert, as a yoghurt topping or as a fruity snack.

Using the Anckeramic grater makes grating the apples and pears easier and preserves the natural freshness of the fruit while grating, releasing more fruit flavors. Try it out, it's really easy and that's how it works!

The ingredients you need are:

  • 3 apples (preferably a sweet variety like Gala or Fuji)

  • 2 pears (choose ripe pears for best flavor)

  • Juice of half a lemon

  • 2 tablespoons of honey (optional, depending on how sweet you want it)

  • a pinch of cinnamon

Instructions:

1. Preparing the fruit:

Peel the apples and pears thoroughly so that no remains of the peel get into the sauce. Cut the fruit in halves or quarters, removing the core.

2. Using the Anckeramic Grater:

Hold the Anckeramic grater firmly in one hand and grate half an apple or pear with the other hand - in a circular motion or "back and forth". Hold the grater over a bowl so that you can scrape the grated mush from the grating surface into the bowl.

Vary the pressure when grating, depending on the consistency of the fruit - a ripe pear, for example, is easier to grate with only gentle pressure. You can also vary the rubbing movements, try it out - circular rubbing is more for rubbing with gentle pressure, while "rubbing back and forth" can create more pressure.

3. Mixing the grated fruit:

You now mix the apple and pear puree in the bowl. Mix in the juice of half a lemon to preserve fruit freshness and reduce oxidation. If you want more sweetness, add some honey.

Finally, they refine the mush with a pinch of cinnamon - but of course you can be creative and experiment here: a pinch of cocoa powder or some grated chocolate (for which your ceramic grater is also excellent) or a touch of freshly grated ginger. But other spices can also be used, such as vanilla or maybe chili?

You can also experiment with different apple and pear varieties to discover all the many different flavors that can be found in this apple and pear sauce.

You can now serve the fruity apple and pear puree as a dessert, as a topping for yoghurt or enjoy it as a small fruity snack between meals. You can also enjoy it as a spread - a crunchy crispbread is ideal for this. And it certainly goes very well with a large scoop of chocolate ice cream.

Bon appetit!
