What is a Chick Egg Separator?

A chick egg separator is a handy kitchen tool that is mostly used in baking. Many baking recipes call for separating the yolk from the egg white. With an egg separator you can quickly and easily separate the egg white from the yolk.

 

How to use the egg separator in the kitchen?

Using the chick (egg separator) in the kitchen is extremely simple. Proceed as follows:

  1. Carefully crack the egg open and allow it to slide completely into the chick/egg separator.
  2. Hold the chick over the bowl in which you want to collect the egg white.
  3. Slowly tip the chick toward the chick's beak and the egg white will drain out through the beak while the yolk remains in the chick's belly.
  4. You can now pour the yolk into another bowl through the top opening of the chick.

 

How else could the chick be used if you don't want to use it to separate eggs?

Separating the yolk from the white is of course the chick's main job, but it can be used in other ways:

as a coffee cream or milk jug, the chick is a cute eye-catcher on every coffee table, milk (or cream) can be easily poured through its beak, it can also be used as a sugar dispenser or as an egg cup if the breakfast egg is not too small.

 

What else is there to know about the chick?

The chick weighs approx. 130 g, is approx. 6.5 cm high and approx. 8 cm wide. It was made by hand and consists of hard ceramic, i. it was fired at 1270°C for one day. When washing dishes, it also feels comfortable in the dishwasher.
